Training Best Practices

Offer training in multiple formats (video, text, in-person) to accommodate different learning styles and schedules.
Review and update training content at least annually. Remove outdated information.
Complete essential training before volunteers begin serving. It builds confidence and prevents issues.
Include real scenarios, hands-on practice, and role-specific examples. Theory alone isn’t enough.
