Getting Started

SoapBox is a comprehensive church engagement platform that combines spiritual growth tools, community features, and church management in one app. It’s designed to help churches connect with their members and help individuals grow in their faith.
SoapBox offers different tiers:
  • Individual users: Free to join and use basic features
  • Churches: Various subscription plans based on congregation size and features needed
Contact your church administrator or visit our website for pricing details.
SoapBox is available on:
  • iOS: Download from the App Store
  • Android: Download from Google Play Store
  • Web: Access at app.soapboxsuperapp.com
Search for “SoapBox” and look for our purple speech bubble icon.
  1. Download the app and create an account
  2. Search for your church by name or location
  3. Request to join
  4. Your church admin will approve your request
  5. You’ll receive a notification when approved

Account & Profile

  1. On the login screen, tap “Forgot Password”
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Check your email for a reset link
  4. Click the link and create a new password
  5. Log in with your new password
Yes! Go to Settings > Account > Email to update your email address. You’ll need to verify the new email before the change takes effect.
  1. Go to your Profile
  2. Tap the camera icon on your photo
  3. Choose to take a new photo or select from your gallery
  4. Crop and adjust as needed
  5. Save your changes
Yes! You can join multiple churches on SoapBox. Switch between churches using the church selector at the top of the app.

Bible & Devotionals

SoapBox includes multiple translations:
  • ESV (English Standard Version)
  • NIV (New International Version)
  • KJV (King James Version)
  • NKJV (New King James Version)
  • NLT (New Living Translation)
  • And more…
Change your preferred translation in Settings > Bible.
S.O.A.P. is a Bible study method:
  • Scripture: Write out a verse that speaks to you
  • Observation: What do you notice about this passage?
  • Application: How does this apply to your life?
  • Prayer: Write a prayer response
SoapBox guides you through each step with prompts and saves your entries.
Yes! Download Bible content for offline reading:
  1. Go to Bible settings
  2. Select Download for Offline
  3. Choose which translations to download
  4. Content will be available without internet
Reading plans are structured guides to help you read through the Bible. Options include:
  • Read the Bible in a Year
  • Chronological reading
  • Topical studies
  • Book-by-book studies
Find plans under Bible > Reading Plans.

Prayer

  1. Go to the Prayer section
  2. Tap Add Prayer Request
  3. Write your request
  4. Choose visibility (private, church, or public)
  5. Submit your request
  • Private: Only you can see this prayer
  • Church: Only members of your church can see it
  • Public: Anyone on SoapBox can see and pray for you
You can change visibility anytime.
  1. Browse the Prayer Wall
  2. Tap on a prayer request
  3. Tap the “Pray” button to indicate you’ve prayed
  4. Optionally leave an encouraging comment
Yes! Mark prayers as answered to track God’s faithfulness:
  1. Go to My Prayers
  2. Find the answered prayer
  3. Tap Mark as Answered
  4. Add a praise report if desired

Groups & Community

  1. Go to Groups > Find Groups
  2. Browse available groups
  3. Tap on a group to see details
  4. Tap Join or Request to Join
  5. Group leaders will approve your request
Contact your church administrator about creating groups. Some churches allow members to create groups; others have a request process.
Group members can:
  • Send messages visible to all members
  • Share prayer requests
  • Post updates and resources
  • Comment on posts
Notifications keep you updated on group activity.
  1. Go to the group page
  2. Tap the settings icon
  3. Select Leave Group
  4. Confirm your choice

Giving

  1. Go to Giving
  2. Tap Add Payment Method
  3. Enter your card or bank details
  4. Your information is securely stored
  5. You’re ready to give!
Yes! SoapBox uses bank-level encryption and partners with trusted payment processors. We never store your full card number on our servers.
Yes! When making a gift:
  1. Choose your amount
  2. Select Make this recurring
  3. Choose frequency (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
  4. Select a start date
  5. Confirm your recurring gift
  1. Go to Giving > History
  2. Tap Generate Statement
  3. Select the date range
  4. Download or email your statement
Statements are also sent automatically at year-end.

Events

  1. Go to Events
  2. Find the event you want to attend
  3. Tap Register
  4. Fill in any required information
  5. Confirm your registration
When viewing an event, tap the calendar icon to add it to your device’s calendar. The event details and reminders will sync automatically.
Many events allow guests. During registration, look for the option to add additional attendees and enter their information.
  1. Go to Events > My Registrations
  2. Find the event
  3. Tap Cancel Registration
  4. Confirm cancellation

Technical Issues

Try these steps:
  1. Close and reopen the app
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Clear the app cache in Settings
  4. Update to the latest version
  5. Restart your device
  1. Check notification settings in the app (Settings > Notifications)
  2. Check your device’s notification settings for SoapBox
  3. Make sure Do Not Disturb is off
  4. Ensure the app has permission to send notifications
  1. Go to Settings > Help > Report a Problem
  2. Describe the issue in detail
  3. Include screenshots if possible
  4. Submit your report

  2. If crashes persist, update to the latest version
  3. Try uninstalling and reinstalling
